On this Columbus Day special, Juliet and Carter are joined by Christopher Columbus expert Rafael Oritz. He helps answer questions about the controversial explorer, including: Did Columbus commit genocide? Did he discover America? Was he a racist? A slave trader?

Rafael Ortiz is the author of several books on Christopher Columbus, including “Christopher Columbus The Hero” (2017), “Columbus Day vs Indigenous Peoples' Day” (2018) and “Christopher Columbus and the Christian Church” (2019). He also has an upcoming children’s book about Columbus for ages 6-9. He appeared in the documentary “Courage and Conviction: The True Story of Christopher Columbus”, as well as on several radio shows, blogs, and magazines, including The Joe Piscopo (Radio) Show, ABC7 News, Breitbart, and many others. His work has been featured in newspapers, blogs, and news sites around the US, including his native Puerto Rico.

Mr. Oritz is a Hispanic of Indigenous (Taino) descent who lives in South Carolina with his family. His mission is to disprove modern-day revisionism based on objective truth rooted on primary historical source material.
