Ajahn Dhammadharo (1913-2005) was a family man (two wives they say) who ordained later in his life. A man of enormous energy and self-confidence who had studied several meditation techniques and felt them inadequate, he found a temple where they offered him a room to continue his study of meditation on his own. For many months he remained alone in this room until he had discovered for himself a route to the heart of the Buddha’s teaching. On coming out of this room he traveled in south Thailand and eventually began teaching insight meditation at Wat Tow Kote in Nakorn Sri Thammaraj.

James Baraz introduces the teachings in reference to Jack Kornfields book Living Dharma.
