More frequent sightings of Amur tigers

The Amur tiger is still critically endangered (at about 500 individuals in the wild), but recently conservation efforts have stabilized their numbers.

Around 60-70 are thought to have been poached every year in the 1990s/early 2000s.

95% of the Amur population lives in the forests of Russia's Far East, and 5% in North East China.
