This summer has been one of the most beautiful summers in recent memory. With regular rain and moderate temperatures, the mountains, rivers, and forests have been ideal for hiking and exploring with our doggie, Jessie.

This week we’re sharing a couple of our favorite gems we go back to time and again when we need to reset, recharge, and reconnect with Nature.

One of our favorite hiking gems is only a few minutes from home. With a winding trail along a river, exposed views, and turquoise-blue waters, it’s our go-to place when we need a quick hiking fix.

Then, buckle your seat belts as we take you along on a drive to Ouray, Colorado along the Million Dollar Highway where tight curves and the lack of guardrails will make you hold on to your seat.

We’ll take you on a steep high-altitude hike to a place where you can catch your breath and chill next to a pristine high-alpine lake.
