Kevin Federline gave 60 Minutes Australia a candid interview on his ex-wife Britney Spears, which aired on Sunday night
The former backup dancer says the pop star's father Jamie Spears 'saved her' with conservatorship and had her best interests at heart
Federline also revealed the couple's teenage sons Sean and Jayden were 'happy' that their mother was freed from the conservatorship
He insisted that his sons will continue to have a close relationship with their grandparents despite feud with Spears
Jayden explained the family rift is the reason that he and his brother did not attend their mother's wedding to Sam Asghari in June
The teen also said that the public fails to realise that Jamie 'cares' for Britney
In November, a Los Angeles judge ordered an end to the conservatorship that has controlled Spears's life - and $60 million fortune - for the past 13 years
