The latest models have consistently pointed to a significant low bringing a strong cold front through the eastern United States. Though severe potential looks low for the region, changes in pressure may lead to high winds and high wave action along the Great Lakes. Broad low-level wind shear ahead the front may lead to some tornado potential across portions of the southern and southeastern United States. Behind the front, the GFS points to future lake effect snow for Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, but lack of model agreement will inhibit certainty about this scenario.
