NYC Mayor declares State of Emergency because of influx of aslyum seekers

The mayor of NYC had declared a state of emergency due to a large influx of asylum seekers. Shelters have become packed as more than 17,000 aslyum seekers have been sent to the city. Mayor Eric Adams is directing city, state, and federal agencies to coordinate efforts to appropriately manage the migrants.
