My whole family loves potatoes with meat cooked according to this recipe. Light lunch or dinner for the whole family.
For cooking, we need - 600 grams (1.33 pounds) beef tenderloin.
Cut the meat into small strips.
Cut two medium carrots into strips.
Cut two medium onions into half rings.
Chop two medium tomatoes. Pickled Cucumbers - 300g (0.66 lb), thinly sliced
Finely chopped garlic - 6 cloves. Potatoes - 700 g (1.55 lbs), cut into strips Meat fry in a pan for 2-3 minutes. Place the fried meat in a bowl.
Pour 330 milliliters (1 ½ cups) of hot water or stock over the meat and place over low heat. Salt and pepper to taste.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
Fry the onion in a pan until golden brown.
Place the onion in the pot along with the meat.
Fry the carrots in a pan for 2-3 minutes.
Add garlic.
Add the tomatoes to the carrots and continue sautéing for 3-4 minutes.
Then add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste or 2 tablespoons of ketchup.
Add the resulting mass to the pan with meat.
Added to the saucepan - 5 peas of allspice, 1 tablespoon of pepper, a couple of sprigs of thyme, 3 bay leaves.
Cover the pan with a lid and continue to simmer the meat over low heat.
Fry pickled cucumbers in a pan for 1-2 minutes.
Add fried cucumbers to the pot with meat.
Fry potatoes over high heat until golden brown. When the potatoes are almost ready, pour them into the pot with the meat. Simmer everything together for another 4-5 minutes.
