EXPOSING Republican 'Purge Law' LIES & Debunking Illinois SAFE-T Act Misinformation

Thousands of people are sitting in jails across the county because they cannot afford bail. These people, who have yet to go to trial, can spend years in jail all because they are too poor to pay for their freedom.

The state of Illinois decided to do something about it and became the first state to abolish cash bail with the passage of the SAFE-T Act.

Of course, with any progressive measure to keep the number of black people out of jails, there is some mis-information about this policy that will take effect on Jan. 1, 2023.
