How to Configure Nested Virtualization

In this video we show you how to configure nested virtualization on VMWare ESXi 7.0, although this does work on some of the older versions of ESXi as well

It allows you to run other hypervisors within a hypervisor so you can benefit from virtualization when you wan to trial, test, configure and upgrade hypervisors

As well as requiring virtualisation of the CPU, ESXi does require you to make changes to the virtual switch or port-group in order for VMs on the nested hypervisor to be reachable

Other vendor hypervisors also support this feature, but in this video we show you how to do nested virtualization with esxi
