Coroner releases report about Mahsa Amini death, family & friends disagree with cause

Mahsa Amini, whose death in police custody led to mass protests in Iran, did not die due to physical violence, but from cerebral hypoxia, or lack of oxygen to the brain, a coroner’s report has determined.

Amini's father has stated "They are lying... She never had any medical conditions, she never had surgery." Two classmates, interviewed by the BBC, said that they weren't aware of Amini ever being in the hospital.
