2022-10-03 Strong Wind Damaged Our Roof

On Monday afternoon, 03-Oct-2022, our roof was damaged by sustained strong wind for more than 20 minutes. The wind was from the North and blow out shingles on the North side of our roof. We were out of town and driving back home that day when my good neighbor called us and delivered the bad news. We arrived home Tuesday and checked the inside of our house immediately to see if water leaked into the house. Fortunately, there were no leak spots on the ceiling at all! If rain water managed to get in through the nail points on the tarp, it was probably minimal that the attic insulation probably absorbed it. The inside of our house was dry. Some of our neighbors had good amount of rain water get into their attic and had to use buckets to catch the dripping water from the ceiling.
