Lab reports are a huge part of the engineering curriculum (as well as many science majors that have labs). You will likely do a lot of them throughout your college career and in this video I outline some things you can expect.

Lab reports will differ for everyone but in general you can expect many similarities such as making plots and tables, or explaining the purpose of the lab and including equipment that you used.

You may not enjoy doing lab reports in college, but they are important because many engineers have to write technical documents in their career in a very similar way to a lab report. In the video I outline some of things I had to do in my first job as an engineer in terms of technical documents and why I had to write them.

►Example Lab Reports

Wireless Communications Lab Report: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1X5UTJs6jQsEtKJHM3xXkcdSOICMj7Ew-jZcoLhsyS-0/edit?usp=sharing

Digital Signal Processing Lab Report: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KTlWhnP6fNOWUMjfvsye5yfSxznzTygf_GxPevZfI44/edit?usp=sharing

*Note that the digital signal processing report is very long, but that's because we had to include all of the code that we wrote which took up a lot of room. These were also all labs from my 3rd and 4th year.
