In this lesson, we're looking at the anatomy and physiology of the kidneys. By the end, you will have a good understanding of the structure and function of the kidney.
With the anatomy, we get into the three main parts of the kidney: The cortex, medulla, and pelvis as well as recap the concepts of filtration, reabsorption, secretion, and elimination. We also talk about the nephron as the functional unit of the kidney and give an introduction to its blood supply.
