The Mount Sinabung erupted again today at 07.40 WIB (UTC + 7). The height of the ash column was observed to be approximately 5,000 meters above the peak or about 7,460 meters above sea level. Based on observations from the Mount Sinabung Observation Post of the Geological Agency and PVMBG, the ash column looks gray with thick intensity condoh to the east and southeast. Communities and visitors or tourists are advised not to carry out activities in villages that have been relocated. Residents also have to stay away and not be in a 3 km radius from the top of Mount Sinabung. To reduce the risk of health impacts from volcanic ash, people are also advised to wear masks when leaving the house. Residents near rivers that head to Sinabung are also urged to be aware of the dangers of hot and cold lava floods, and to protect clean water from the volcanic ash of Sinabung.
