General Motor on transmission fluid - should you change it

The "General" has some pretty strong opinions on changing transmission fluid. After all, every Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis/Lincoln Town Car shop manual he's ever seen says to drop the pan and change the filter at least every 24 months. Now drop and give him 20.
