A decision by OPEC-Plus to cut the supply of oil is likely to drive gas prices up. President Biden called the decision by the oil-producing cartel to cut production “a disappointment,” and there’s concern that the move is a sign that the Saudis may be aligning themselves with Russia. The White House is expected to focus more on increasing domestic oil production. Biden’s top energy advisers met with American oil executives last week. Those discussions are continuing.
