YEP! This orchid used to belong to the #phalaenopsis genus, until Alex Hawkes separated the genus paraphalaenopsis from phalaenopsis. The long terete leaves, along with other differences in the floral characteristics, were enough to establish this new genus. I honestly cannot understand how, once upon a time, this orchid was considered a phalaenopsis 🤣🤣 goes to show that, I am like Jon Snow...
