Canada: Federal govt. invests $11M in Inuit suicide prevention strategy – October 6, 2022

At a news conference on Parliament Hill, Patty Hajdu, the federal minister of Indigenous Services, announces $11 million in new funding to help strengthen the National Inuit Suicide Prevention Strategy. This funding builds on previous investments from the federal 2019 budget. Natan Obed, the president of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK), also takes part in the announcement.
