PLANT-BASED LAUNDRY
DETERGENT VS REGULAR
DETERGENT: SKIN
SENSITIVITY

Did you know that the average American
household does laundry between 6-7 loads per week.

With laundry being such a big part of our
everyday lives, it's important to have the best
laundry detergent possible. You want your
clothes to be clean and fresh, but you also
want something that's good for the
environment and safe for your family.

It has generally been assumed that more
chemicals in detergent will equal cleaner
clothes, but this is a falsehood. A jug of
regular detergent contains synthetic
chemicals and petroleum by-products.
Chemicals such as:
Sodium Laureth Sulphates
• Phosphates Benzenes
• Synthetic fragrances
Formaldehyde
Chlorine
Not only are these dangerous and caustic
chemicals on their own. But when they are
used on items that are worn in close contact
against the body for long periods of time, they
can worsen existing skin problems.
Skin conditions like Eczema, Psoriasis, and
Rosacea may become further irritated,
these chemicals. This can lead to rashe
blistering, skin redness, and intense itching.

Each piece of laundry you pull out of the washing machine contains toxic residues from detergents, which not only lingers in the fabric, but rubs off on your skin.
