US President Joe Biden used a UN address to sharply criticise China over a host of issues, including its policies in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and the nation’s nuclear weapons build-up. Biden also offered assurances in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on September 21, 2022, saying that Washington “does not seek conflict” or a “cold war” with Beijing.
