The Truth Of Cheese

Cheese is fattening, addicting, and causes lots of health problems. People and news articles say that soda and sugar cause obesity. But as of 1999, it started falling because people bought bottled water instead of sodas to a large degree.

Cheese consumption went up, together with obesity. In 1909, the average American ate four pounds of cheese in a year. But in the 1960s and seventies, and eighties, fast food chains came in.
Pizza places started to use cheese. By 2013, Americans had eaten 33 pounds of cheese every year.

Reasons Cheese Makes You Fat

Cheese has lots of calories. A gram of sugar has four calories, and a gram of fat has nine calories.
Cheese contains 70% fat. Fat in foods quickly adds to your body fat. Carbs go into the muscles and is stored as glycogen, which are batteries that you need when you're active. It's hard for the body to turn carbs into fat.

The body uses up about 25% or so of its calories to try to make fat. On the other hand, cheese converts quickly to fat because it's already fat. It doesn't require any conversions. It goes into your blood stores as fat.

Fat slows your metabolism. Your muscles are your calorie burners. Inside your muscles are mitochondria. The fat builds up inside your cell. So when fat comes into the cell, the body turns down the production of mitochondria to keep the fat, and your metabolism slows down to preserve this fat richness that just came in. And that's the opposite of what you want.

As the years go by, the metabolism you had when you were 12 is just no longer there because the mitochondria have been disturbed. Time goes in the opposite direction if you're on a low-fat vegan diet.

Cheese does not have fiber. Fiber is plant roughage. It effectively has no calories. Eating high-fiber foods tricks the brain into thinking you ate a huge amount of food.

Cheese has a lot of sodium. It's one of the highest salt foods and adds water weight. One serving of cheddar is 350 mg of salt, a serving of Edam is 500, and Velveeta weighs over 800 milligrams of sodium in just one serving!

Cheese Causes Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer that we have. Countries that have the highest milk consumption got the most prostate cancer. The dangers of cheese might be because of the hormonal effects of the milk. It can trigger either cancer or the aggressive growth of cancers that happen to form.
