Quiet BPD, The Scapegoated Disorder

Borderline Personality Disorder is part of the Cluster B Group of personalities, characterised by dramatic, overly emotional or unpredictable thinking and behaviours. Key characteristics of BPD include emotional dysregulation and a fear of abandonment.

In this video Darren Magee talks with mental health advocate Bryan Ingram about his experiences living with Quiet Borderline, a subtype of BPD where many of the symptoms and characteristics are internalised which can lead to constant rumination, self doubt and difficulties asserting boundaries. Bryan speaks candidly about his experiences growing up, his relationship with himself as well as others, and how he feels it is the 'scapegoat' disorder, for not only being held accountable for how others feel, but also being criticised and rejected when feeling hurt.
