Delicious Quick Caramels (Microwave)

Ingredients:
1 ----Stick butter
1/2 -Cup white sugar
1/2 --Cup brown sugar
7 ----Ounces sweetened condensed milk (1/2 large can)
1/2 -Cup corn syrup
1/8 -Teaspoon salt

Directions:
Line an 8x8 inch pan with foil, folding any
excess over the outside, butter & set aside.
In a microwave-safe glass bowl or measuring
cup; Microwave 1 stick butter on high covered
with a paper plate 3 1/2 min. to brown just
a little. Slowly blend in sugar while stirring.
Blend in corn syrup and salt.

1. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes.
2 Add 7 oz sweetened condensed milk. Stir well.
3. Microwave 2 1/2 more minutes.
4. Stir well then Microwave 2 more minutes.

Remove from microwave pour into prepared pan.
Set aside and let cool to room temperature.
When cooled, Peel off foil. Cut into approximately
1 inch squares with a buttered knife or Pizza Cutter.

Test with cold water.

Microwave powers can vary. After cooking, Run a little
under cold water in your mixing spoon. If it comes out
too soft, microwave 30 seconds at a time testing each
time, until it Reaches desired hardness. If it's
initially too hard, lower the cooking time 30 seconds
for the next batch.

If you prefer, you can stir in 1/2 cup of crushed nuts
just before you pour the caramel into the pan.
