An energy vampire is someone who takes advantage of other peoples good will and kind nature, draining their time, energy and resources and exhausting their patience. They are often self absorbed and can show a lack of critical thinking, self awareness, emotional intelligence or empathy, and leave others mentally and emotionally exhausted.
