Police Response Time Was About 30 Minutes

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A retired high school teacher who’s running for office is being praised in his neighborhood for catching a suspect accused of trying to get into homes.

Ross says he held the suspect, 29-year-old Roy Ward, at gunpoint about half an hour until West Virginia State Police arrived and arrested him.
