Why doesn't Herschel Walker just admit that this story is true, if it is and it likely is, explains how he has changed his life?

Right now, the knock is he is a hypocrite but does it matter? They are arguing he isn't adequately pro-life to suppress GOP turnout but the other guy is adamantly pro-choice.
