Situation in #Starobelsk Direction at 16:00 on 5 Oct 2022⚡️

▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, the 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the AFU's 14th Separate Mechanised Brigade began to advance through the grey zone between #Petropavlovka and #Olshana towards #Orylyanka.

At the same time, units of the 14th Brigade are planning an assault on Russian Forces positions near #Tavolzhanka. Several tanks have been moved to #Dvurechnoye to reinforce the advancing group.

However, several companies of the Ukrainian unit refused to attack #Tavolzhanka head-on because of the difficult terrain and general fatigue of their personnel.

▪️ A column of military equipment from the 14th AFU Brigade passed through #Kolomak towards #Kupyansk to reinforce the AFU grouping ahead of the offensive on #Svatovo and #Troitskoye.

▪️ In the #Svatovo sector, Ukrainian formations entrenched themselves in #Novoplatonovka and #Boguslavka. The Russian troops withdrew from the settlements in order to level the front line. The villages of #Glushkovka and #Kruglyakovka remained in the "buffer zone" between the Russian units and the Ukrainian units advancing from #Kupyansk.

▪️ In the #Kremennaya section, Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups continue to make advances from the village of #Terny to the #Svatovo - #Kremennaya road.

▪️ A batch of civilian drones converted to drop grenades was delivered to the #Lyman area. In addition, another group of foreign mercenaries (including Arabs) arrived in the city.
