Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday completed the formal annexation of more than 15% of Ukraine. Putin has signed bills admitting the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions into Russia. Earlier, the annexation legislation was unanimously passed by both houses of the Russian Parliament. The formalities followed after referendums were held in the four regions amidst the war.
