McDonald’s Begins Accepting Cryptocurrencies in Swiss Town

The fast-food chain’s restaurants in Lugano, Switzerland have begun accepting crypto like Bitcoin and Tether (USDT) as payment.

The novelty comes as the town has begun embracing crypto under its special status.

Lugano has enabled residents to pay taxes with crypto, and will soon extend to payments for parking tickets, public services - among others. (RT)
