Pentagon announces $625 million in weapon assistance for Ukraine

Laura Cooper, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, announced on Tuesday (October 4, 2022) that the U.S. will send an additional "security assistance package" to Ukraine. Cooper said the package includes equipment and weapons valued at "up to $625 million" and is "tailored to meet Ukraine's immediate needs."
