Fertilizer Plant Explosion in Uzbekistan

A huge explosion has occurred at Uzbekistan’s second-largest nitrogen fertilizer plant that supplies the likes of Russia, Ukraine, Iran, Turkey, the UAE and Australia in Chirchik, near the capital Tashkent.

It is reported that at first a fire broke out at the Maxam-Chirchik chemical plant around 8:30 local time Tuesday morning, but the causes of the emergency are being investigated. No victims have been reported yet while rescuers continue to work on the spot. #RT
