Where to Find your Irish Ancestors

County Antrim was the site of the Irish Rebellion. During the late 1600s, Protestants began migrating to the American Colonies. The typical place of arrival was Philadelphia and Charleston ports. All during the 1700s a huge migration of the Scotch-Irish from this region traveled across the seas.
Featured is an old castle in Antrim. Afterward, the migrants went South and Westward. By the mid 1700's thousands of migrants had crossed the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountain. You can find old wills and estates etc. on VirginiaPioneers.net. My recommendation is to follow the old pioneer trails on the maps and search all county records in NC and VA.

Find your ancestors on GeorgiaPioneers.com (includes 7 States of genealogy records)
