CNN shares Jan. 6th interview with Trump

Maggie Haberman is preparing to release her book, "Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America," on Tuesday, according to the Washington Examiner. During the discussion, Haberman asked the former president what he was doing when he learned of the chaotic turn of events at the U.S. Capitol building. "How did you find out that there were people storming the Capitol?" the reporter can be heard to ask. "I had heard that afterwards, actually on the late side," Trump replied, before noting that he later turned on the TV and saw the events taking place. "I was having meetings...I also had confidence that the Capitol, who didn't want these 10,000 people, that they'd be able to control this thing. And you don't realize they did lose control."
