Russia's upper house of parliament, the Federation Council, unanimously approved Tuesday the accession of four Ukrainian regions into Russia. The Federation Council passed the constitutional laws on the illegal annexation of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR, LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Tuesday's vote in the Federation Council follows Monday's vote in the lower house of parliament, the State Duma, which also approved unanimously the annexation of the four regions.
