Help us, our great holy brothers, that we are servants before God.
Protect us from ourselves, our cowardice and indifference, our selfishness and ambition, our envy and distrust, our desire for contentment, a good life and respect.

Release the shackles of sin and attachment to the past. Reveal that we close our own eyes so we don't have to see the needs of our neighbors so we can take care of ourselves in silent complacency.
