The Tower of Power Unhorned

Every now and then a musician or a group will attempt a Tower of Power song without using horns in their version - just a rhythm section instead. Most fail with this kind of experiment but today here's two groups that actually succeed at pulling it off - Govt Mule and Greg Koch and Other Bad Men - and that's how today's Segue City Special comes together... Enjoy!

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
