A.W. Tozer was an evangelical preacher, writer, editor, and speaker born in 1897. In 1919 he accepted his first ministry position at a small West Virginia church. In 1931 he began writing for Alliance Weekly magazine, published by the Christian and Missionary Alliance and became editor of the magazine in 1950. Tozer published 12 books in his lifetime, and at least 40 others were published by others that were compilations of his work. His contribution to Christianity ended when he died in 1963, but his influence will live on throughout time.
