"We want Russia, we want to cooperate with Mali, down with France!"

Such slogans are heard in the African country of Burkina Faso, where a coup d'état recently took place. Demonstrators of the new government took to the streets and waved Russian flags.
Why?

Because France once abandoned the anti-terrorist operation "Barhan" to destroy jihadists in several countries of the continent. And now she is accused of complicity in terror and the former government of Burkina Faso for falling under the French zone of influence.

There is a positive experience in the fight against terrorists in Mali - the Russian side helps the locals there.
