Welcome to the first episode of the Grey Matter Podcast!

In this video Constitutional Lawyer Leighton Grey and Professor at the Stanford School of Medicine Dr. Jay Bhattacharya have a conversation about the controversy that surrounds Government response to emergencies and how the thoughts and ideas in The Great Barrington Declaration have been distorted by the main stream narrative.

Jay Bhattacharya is a Professor of Health Policy at Stanford University and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economics Research. He directs Stanford’s Center for Demography and Economics of Health and Aging. Dr. Bhattacharya’s research focuses on the health and well-being of vulnerable populations, with a particular emphasis on the role of government programs, biomedical innovation, and economics.

His broader research interests encompass the implications of population aging for future population health and medical spending in developed countries, the measurement of physician performance tied to physician payment by insurers, and the role played by biomedical innovation on health. He has published 135 articles in top peer-reviewed scientific journals in medicine, economics, health policy, epidemiology, statistics, law, and public health among other fields. He holds an MD and PhD in economics, both earned at Stanford University.

Nothing in life is Black & White which is why it is so important for people to explore the Grey area intentionally. The topics discussed on this show illustrate how the act of science and study has been neglected in the way Government and bodies of authority respond to emergency situations.

The conversation delves deeply into the problems our communities are facing and how they can be handled differently. Listener beware, these conversations may challenge your current beliefs but we ask that you come with an open mind and deploy kindness and empathy when exploring these ideas.
