Thoughts After the Italian election victory of the conservative parties

The desperate condition into which Europe is heading is the result of the lack of leadership on the continent. The conservatives coming to power in countries like Italy are a sign that the voters are responding. The underlying cause is the total lack of decisive leadership in the U. S., since this country has provided the direction and the security for Europe since World War II, and has under this administration completely failed to do so.
