Old-earth geologists have long considered the Coconino Sandstone in the Grand Canyon to have been formed in an enormous, ancient desert, much like the modern-day Sahara of North Africa. But through years of closer examination, geologist Dr. John Whitmore has provided significant evidence against this view. He argues that the Coconino should be interpreted as a massive underwater sand deposit and provides impressive evidence for a global Flood. In this video, Dr. Whitmore shows us some unusual dimple-like patterns found in the Coconino Sandstone. Though traditionally interpreted as fossil raindrop imprints, he shows that they more closely fit animal burrows.
