Thierry Henry joked that he was lucky to retire before the introduction of VAR, because of the amount he complained as a player.

The former Arsenal and France star was speaking at a Leaders in Sport event in London about technology in football, stressing that football was lagging behind other sports.

Henry also spoke about his early development as a footballer, touching on how learning to play without relying on his speed made him a better footballer.
