Having a bottle calf can be fun. There are a few things that are helpful to know. Whatever the reason you end up with a bottle calf, it's your choice how well that calf is able to reach its true potential. You can do it cheap, and just get it to survive on the bottle until it's "weaned", or you can put some money and effort into it and end up with a really nice addition to your herd.

Nutrition is important, and while I'm not a certified nutritional expert, I have done a lot of research and spent a lot of years learning about nutrition in both humans and cows. You can see the results of ignoring it, or providing good nutrition to your cows. It's also helpful to know some things about tending to veterinary issues that arise. I discuss some of my experiences here.

Forgive the low-tech method; I don't have a bottle calf at present and have to go off pictures from the past. The information in the vid is what's important.

This is part 1 of 2. I cover a variety of things that can be of value if you are considering getting a bottle calf.
