First Garden: Carrot Failure.
So, more lessons learned, and more crops going straight to the chickens.
When I was digging these up, I noticed we had about 1 or 2 inches of nice soil on top of hard thick South Carolina clay. They didn't really have a chance.
I spent a few hours adding soil conditioner, 10-10-10, and turning the soil over on this bed and the potato bed after taking these videos.
Looking into possible deep compost methods to use over the winter to try and improve what we have to work with here.
Hopefully in the spring we will be in a lot better shape when we plant Garden #2.
