A Quick Walk Though Shawshank State Prison - Ohio State Reformatory

We spent a week out in Ohio looking at areas that we are looking at relocating to in a few years and on our route home we made a stop at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, OH, which was used for the filming of my favorite movie, The Shawshank Redemption. Built between 1886 and 1910 and remained in operation until 1990, when a United States Federal Court ruling ordered the facility to be closed.
