Is Jesus Christ the Son of God, or merely a great man?

Is He a liar? It cannot be both. It is logically impossible to claim that Jesus Christ is a good man, great prophet, or sage philosopher, while denying the literal deity of Christ. Jesus repeatedly claimed that He is God come in the flesh, God the Son manifested to destroy the works of the Devil and also to save the Called of the Father. Gospel of John, chapter 5, verses 17- 47, the deity of Christ is expounded in many ways. "He that hath seen me, has seen the Father..." (John 14:9).
