Allied troops retreated from the strategic town Krasny Lyman to more advantageous lines: MoD RU

In connection with the creation of a threat of encirclement by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the allied troops were withdrawn from Krasny Liman to more advantageous lines. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov.

During the day, more than 200 nationalists were killed at the Krasnolimansky administration as a result of attacks on the positions of the 66th and 93rd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the enemy lost nine infantry fighting vehicles and five tanks.

According to Konashenkov, despite the losses, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, having a significant superiority in forces and means, brought in reserves and continued the offensive in the direction of Krasny Liman.

"In connection with the creation of a threat of encirclement, the allied troops were withdrawn from the settlement of Krasny Liman to more advantageous lines," a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry explained.
