Dragon Quest Episode 44 REACTION/REVIEW| KING VEARN PASSES THE TORCH!!??

Popp flees from the area where Hadlar and Dai did battle! Killvearn heads after Popp and almost slays him until Crocodine intervened riding on his hawk. Somehow, Popp and Crocodine managed to get the slip on Killvearn. Meanwhile, Mystvearn drops from the sky and lands on a glacier as he sees Hadlar's body regenerate. Hadlar makes note that Dai used Baran's attack, Giga break, on him, even though it was weaker. He states that Dai is more alike to his father than he thinks. Popp heads back to Maam and the gang very disappointed that he lost Dai and Hyunkel ends up cheering him up by using reverse psychology on him. We then see Dai stuck in the water cascaded in an ice glacier. He looks to see that his sword had saved him, providing him warmth at the same time. He also notices that his sword had been chipped by Hadlar's attack, showing just how strong Hadlar is. Hadlar, Mystvearn, & Killvearn eventually head back to where King Vearn resides as Hadlar believes to be awaiting his execution from the King. As they enter into his room, they are perplexed to find the King standing outside. For the first time, Hadlar sees Vearn's face. He states how astonished he is at the fact that he's old, but also feels as if he could defeat him easily. Knowing his thoughts, King Vearn essentially dares Hadlar to try to attack him. Hadlar, even more shocked, apologizes but King Vearn appreciates his attitude & states that this is what he likes about Hadlar. Vearn tells everyone their duties to fulfill and states how eventually Dai will be looking to go after him. Vearn then mentions to Hadlar that he finds chess surprisingly deep. Hadlar notices that the chess pieces are all made from orichalcum. Then the King says that Hadlar can use these pieces to form his ultimate force.
