Why do Leaves Change Color in the Fall?|⚛

It's that time of year again, early Fall. When you can finally go outside during the day without shriveling up like a raisin baking in the July sun. Well if you're up in my parts anyway. Birds start flying south and also something weird happens, the leaves on many trees decide to turn warm shades of colors like reds, oranges, yellows, and sometimes even a splash of purple. Why bother changing color? Why don't they just stay green until they fall off? What if I were to tell you those bright colors were there all along? Let me explain why!
